At Saddletree Stables, you can lease a horse by the month. You can even arrange to "share" a lease with another person, so you would each have days to ride the horse. Leasing a horse is a great way to "try before you buy" and allows you to ride whenever you feel like it without the commitment of purchasing a horse. We provide horses appropriate for beginning through intermediate level riders; as your skills develop, you can simply lease a different horse. Should you become attached to a particular friend, purchasing the horse remains an option.

Buying a horse is a big commitment and an important decision. We can provide consultation services to help you locate and purchase a horse that's appropriate for your abilities and experience. We can help you arrange a vet check before purchasing, look over the seller's contract to purchase, and advise you on working out a "trial period" with the seller to make sure you are getting exactly the right horse for your needs.
